YellowJacket Press Relaunch Celebration and Poetry Reading
In celebration of becoming YellowJacket Press’s new home, Keep St. Pete Lit hosted a celebratory reading and relaunch at Studio@620 on April 27th at 7:00pm. YellowJacket Press is Florida’s premier poetry chapbook publisher, having published over 40 poets since its inception in 2005. Guests at this event included St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Gloria Munoz; former Wordsmith of Tampa and founder of YJP, Gianna Russo; the new YJP publisher and director of Keep St. Pete Lit, Maureen McDole; former St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Helen Wallace; and poets Silvia Curbelo, Kate Sweeney, Jeff Karon, and Sara Ries Dziekonski.

Worrisome Creatures Launched!
Kate celebrated the launch of Worrisome Creatures on May 26th at the Haus Coffee Shop IRB. She read from her book alongside poets Maureen McDole [Exploring My Options (2006), Longing for the Deep End (2011), and Feast (2021)], the Director Keep St. Pete Lit, and Gianna Russo [All I See is Your Glinting: 90 Days in the Pandemic, (2022, with photographer Jenny Carey), One House Down (2019), and Moonflower (2011)], the Wordsmith of the City of Tampa.
